Led by Manager Wanda Serena Pettersson, Emma Barter Victoria Home is a long-standing pillar of elder care in South Africa. Established in 1883, the home offers 140 years of expertise in compassionate, affordable, and person-centred support for older adults. Located on Retief Street and surrounded by expansive gardens, EBVH provides independent living, assisted living, frail care, step-down services, and 24/7 onsite nursing.
For the year 2025, EBVH was awarded the Pietermaritzburg and Midlands Chamber of Business “Social Enterprise of the Year” in recognition of its sustainability, ethical practice, and significant community impact.
