Today, June 15th is World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. According to the World Health Organisation, around 4-6% of elderly people report significant abuse in the last month. As elder abuse is predicted to increase with rapidly ageing populations, let us stand up for the rights of older people to ensure all are treated with dignity and respect.
