‘TRAIN THE TRAINER’, a first-time initiative of a free training programme for those delivering elder care in developing countries, was held in Durban, South Africa, between June 10 th to 21 st , 2024. This was a collaboration between CommonAge and TAFTA and conducted by Fulbright Scholar, Dr Renu Abraham Varughese. There were 28 delegates from 3 countries who participated in this training programme. One of the program’s goals was for trainees to return and share their knowledge within their organisations, creating a ripple effect to elevate and enhance practices in the aged care sector, with a particular focus on dementia care.
