CommonAge is proud to be part of the renewed momentum of the Independent Forum of Commonwealth Organisations (IFCO), which recently relaunched with a new constitution, leadership structure, and a renewed commitment to collaboration across the Commonwealth.
We are especially proud that our Director, Ann Keeling, has been elected to serve on the new IFCO Steering Committee, helping to shape the future direction of this important platform for Commonwealth Accredited Organisations. The recent IFCO Conference at Marlborough House brought together organisations from across the Commonwealth to discuss how stronger partnerships can drive meaningful action ahead of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) 2026. A key focus was moving from declarations to implementation through genuine collaboration, shared responsibility, and inclusive engagement.
As the Commonwealth continues to navigate complex social, economic, and demographic challenges, organisations like CommonAge believe that older persons must remain visible, valued, and included in conversations about sustainable development, healthy ageing, and community resilience. Through our involvement with IFCO, we look forward to contributing to stronger Commonwealth partnerships that advance the rights, wellbeing, and voices of older people across all member nations.
