Population ageing affects all Commonwealth states. Even in countries with predominantly young populations, people are living longer and are developing more complex health and social needs as they age. However, as long as they remain healthy and well, they also have the capacity to contribute wisdom, skills and experience to their communities. As well as healthy ageing improving quality of life for individuals, we support the view that a healthy ageing population is much less expensive for governments to support, and therefore is less of a burden on taxpayers and health systems. In this webinar, delegates will hear from internationally recognised speakers, outlining healthy ageing progress to date, highlighting the challenges and achievements, and showcasing examples of healthy ageing in action. This webinar is for care and senior living professionals and volunteers, government organisations, and anyone else with an interest in healthy ageing.
