CommonAge Climate Change Webinar Brings Commonwealth Voices Together – 6th August 2026
CommonAge recently brought together voices from across the Commonwealth for an important conversation on climate change and its impact on communities, particularly in the context of ageing and healthy ageing.
The webinar featured CommonAge Chapter Leads from South Africa, Kenya and Mozambique, who shared perspectives and experiences from their respective countries. The discussion highlighted the diverse ways communities are experiencing climate change, while reinforcing the importance of collaboration, shared learning and collective action.
As climate-related challenges continue to affect communities around the world, there is an increasing need to ensure that the experiences and needs of older people are part of conversations about climate resilience, sustainability and community wellbeing.
The webinar provided an opportunity for participants across the Commonwealth to exchange insights and consider how working together can contribute to building more resilient and inclusive communities.
