We are proud to announce a historic first for CommonAge — the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the HMCGSSC Home Management and Care Givers SSC , a government-recognized skills council in India.

Ageing Australia® is the national peak body for aged care, representing providers of retirement living, seniors housing, residential care, home care and community services.

We were delighted that our Chair, Mansur Dalal, represented CommonAge at the Ageing Australia National Conference 2025, hosted by Ageing Australia this October.

CommonAge launches of three new Country Chapters in Zambia, Mozambique, and Namibia! 🎉

These Chapters were officially launched at the CommonAge Annual General Meeting (AGM) on the 8th of September 2025 in Cape Town — expanding our presence across the Commonwealth and strengthening our mission to amplify the voices of older people globally.

Each new Chapter:

Brought together changemakers passionate about ageing and intergenerational collaboration
Advocated for the rights and inclusion of older people in their communities
Fostered cross-country partnerships that drove real change.

Celebrating a Milestone in Ageing Innovation!
CommonAge was honoured to host the CommonAge “Living Well – Ageing Well” Innovation Challenge Expert Roundtable on 13 June 2025 at Marlborough House in London.

We are delighted to announce that the Foundation’s Board of Governors has approved the appointment of Jacqueline Wong as a Civil Society Advisory Governor for Asia on a two-year term, commencing June 2025 through June 2027.

They warmly welcome her to the Foundation and look forward to her valuable insights and contributions as they continue to strengthen their engagement with civil society and advance thier shared mission.

The CommonAge team actively participated in three significant events: Dementia India Alliance – DemCon 24, Souhrudam, and the 5th ASLI Annual Conclave.

In October, 2024 at CHOGM in Samoa, Dame Carol Black, the Secretary General’s Special Envoy on Ageing Well, released a Report on “Ageing Well in the Commonwealth – A Roadmap for Healthy Ageing Across the Life Course: 2024–2030.”

Coming of Age: Meeting the needs of our ageing population: Ontario Long Term Care Association, host Donna Duncan is joined by two visionary leaders to discuss how to tackle these workforce challenges on a global scale: Mansur Dalal, Chair of CommonAge and founder of the Association of Senior Living in India.

Andrew Larpent, Chair Emeritus, was the featured guest on the podcast \’Business Show with CommonAge: Dementia in the Commonwealth,\’ hosted by Arif Zaman, Executive Director of the Commonwealth Businesswomen’s Network (CBWN).
