CommonAge at CHOGM 2024: Our delegates attended CHOGM 2024 held at Apia, Samoa in October. Dame Carol Black, the Secretary General’s Special Envoy on Ageing Well, released a Report on “Ageing Well in the Commonwealth – A Roadmap for Healthy Ageing Across the Life Course: 2024–2030.” This roadmap builds on the great work of the World Health Organisation (WHO), the National Academy of Medicine (NAM) and, in particular, CommonAge, who have led the way as advocates for ensuring that older people in the Commonwealth are fully recognised in society and supported to live well in age-friendly communities.

CommonAge delegation at the 2022 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM), held in June 2023. At CHOGM 2022 (https://www.chogm2022.rw/) 20-25 June we ensured the perspective and contribution of older people were included in discussions through our eight passionate delegates; each delegate attended in a voluntary capacity and was proud to advocate for older people in the Commonwealth.
CommonAge representatives also attended the previous Commonwealth Heads of Government meetings (CHOGM) in Sri Lanka, Malta and United Kingdom
