Vice Chair of Kenya Chapter, Margaret Njagi

I oversee a programme designed to support older persons in the society residing in the Kibagare slum of Nairobi, Kenya. The majority of who face challenges such assevere poverty, abuse, and a lack of resources. My primary objective is to enhance their skills and promote economic empowerment. Additionally, Iserve as the Director of Charis Eagle Group, a company specializing in safety, security, theatre production and filmmaking. Through this program, we aim to reduce mental health issues and enhance overall well-being of the older persons.

The programme’s primary aim is to reduce mental health issues such as stress ,anxiety, depression among others, through entertainment such as music, dance performances, and music festivals. We also provide training on safety and security to protect them from the high risk of abuse and exploitation they often face. With an extensive network spanning schools, colleges, universities, communities, private corporates and churches, I aspire to promote the dignity, well-being, and rights of older persons, fostering positive transformations in their lives. Lastly, I studiedAnalytical Chemistry from The Technical University of Mombasa and Marketing at the Management University of Kenya.
