Bursary Recipient at the IFA Global Conference 2025
We are proud to introduce Dr. Sriromi Maduwage, one of the bursary recipients attending the International Federation on Ageing (IFA) Global Conference in Cape Town, South Africa (9–12 September 2025).
👩⚕️ A Public Health Specialist from Sri Lanka, Dr. Maduwage brings extensive experience at both national and international levels. She was recognised as one of the inaugural Healthy Ageing 50 World Leaders under the UN Decade of Healthy Ageing, honoured for her commitment to transforming the world into a better place to grow older.
Her outstanding leadership includes:
✔️ Serving as Technical Lead in the development of Sri Lanka’s Elderly Health Policy
✔️ Leading the nationwide implementation of Integrated Care for Older Persons (ICOPE)
✔️ Advancing healthy ageing initiatives in low-resource settings
