Advancing Nutrition and Dementia Care in Ageing
We are delighted to introduce Dr. Lizette Kühn from South Africa as one of our 10 bursary recipients attending the IFA Global Conference on Ageing (9–12 September 2025, Cape Town). With a PhD in Dietetics and nearly two decades of experience, Dr. Kühn is deeply committed to improving the nutrition and wellbeing of older people—particularly those living with dementia.
Since 2006, she has provided expert consultancy through her private practice and contributed significantly to GERATEC, where she supports person-centred care approaches in ageing services. Her work underscores that nutrition advice must be practical, evidence-based, and accessible, while public health information should be communicated with clarity and accuracy. Passionate about innovation, Dr. Kühn also champions creative strategies to enhance dementia care in resource-limited settings across Africa.
Her dedication to nutrition, ageing, and dementia care continues to inspire transformative solutions for healthier, more dignified lives in later years.
